Jungle

In 2014 Jungle released their acclaimed, eponymous debut album on XL Recordings. Featuring the huge crossover singles ‘Platoon’, ‘The Heat’, ‘Time’ and ‘Busy Earnin’, Jungle is a modern, mesmeric soul record that was born out of the UK but had truly global appeal. It was described by Q magazine as a “brilliant, joyous, unsettling debut” and by NME as “the pop-art album of the summer”.

Jungle was also was shortlisted for the 2014 Mercury Music Prize before featuring in many end-of-year ‘best of’ lists including Time Out, Clash, NME, Amazon, Rough Trade Shops and Q. The band were also nominated for ‘British Artist Of The Year’ at the BBC Music Awards, named iTunes’ ‘Best New Alternative Artist Of 2014’ and featured as one of Spotify’s ‘Top 5 Breakthrough Artists’. Since its release, the album has gone on to sell over 100,000 copies in the UK while Jungle headlined sold out tours across the globe, including their biggest headline show to date at London’s 5000 capacity Brixton Academy.

Jungle’s modern soul will provide the perfect soundtrack to summer as they play an array of festivals. Headlining Bestival last year we know that this is only the beginning for them!
