Comeback alert. Let’s re-introduce The Stone Roses. With their new track All For One we are blessed with a track with themes of unity and reunion. The Stone Roses’ self-titled debut album was hugely influential in the UK and is still one of the biggest albums in UK history. A comeback more than 20 years in the making, All for One is the best of both sounds from their first album and second album. Merging the two sounds, it retains the hard guitars and funky rhythms of their debut, and the distorted guitar histrionics of Second Coming in a renewed fresh way. The track is full of catchy hooks and riffs complementing simple yet enjoyable lyrics. The song lyrics themself although vague and quite general don’t take away from the gravitas and a sense of communal spirit of the sound. All for One when played in The Stone Roses’ upcoming shows will go down a treat juxtaposed with their older material. The track is an impressive return from The Stone Roses, and hopefully this song marks the beginning of what could be a great comeback.
